International Relations Office of the University of Zagreb Faculty of Textile Technology (IRO TTF) was established by the Faculty Council on 4th June 2007. The first head of the IRO TTF was prof. emeritus Ana Marija Grancarić, PhD (2007-2013). Including Croatia into the European integration processes, the University of Zagreb has focused its activities into international exchange programs. For this reason IRO TTF helped intensifying the existing fruitful cooperation between the University of Zagreb Faculty of Textile Technology with many foreign institutions in Europe and the world, for the purpose of exchange of students, teaching and non-teaching staff, but also for the purpose of intensifying research cooperation through number of projects of funded from EU funds such are Eureka, COST, FP7 (Framework Programme 7, 2007-2013) and others.
With the aim of better and more effective inclusion in one part of the project, the STEP - Service for Textile European project was established. First head of STEP was prof. Sandra Bischof, PhD. The projects of the Longlife Learning Programme, LLP are related to the ERASMUS+ program.

University of Zagreb Faculty of Textile Technology has a significant international cooperation with scientific and other institutions, and professional associations.
IRO TTF successfully cooperates with the International Relations Office at the University of Zagreb in all activities related to international cooperation, such as record-keeping and forwarding information on mobility. International Relation
IRO TTF primarily works on realization of student and staff mobility in the framework of Erasmus +, CEEPUS, Basileus, E-TEAM and other mobility programs.
Our potential is in the fact that we are the only scientific research and teaching institutions in the area of technical sciences, the field of textile technology in the Republic of Croatia, recognized internationally. It was accomplished by intensive and continuous work. TTF was included in the CEEPUS network since the academic year 1996/1997 and is one of the first components of the University, which has used this form of international cooperation. TTF had ERASMUS cooperation before Croatia signed the ERASMUS Charter in 2010. In the academic year 2008/2009 on the TTF was held one semester of AUTEX joint study, the E-TEAM; and the first exchange of foreign students was carried out in the academic year 2009/2010.
