University of Zagreb's Faculty of Textile Technology (TTF) is the only Institution for education and scientific-research in Republic of Croatia in the area of textile technology. In it's 50 years old history (first as a part of Faculty of Technology) and 20 years of independent activity TTF has provided a valuable contribution to development of Croatian economy within it's area of expertise, primarily by educating top-quality Engineers, Masters and PhD title holders, but also by performing research and development and working on projects for Croatian companies.
Acting as a dean of such in Institution is a great honor as well as a great responsibility. In our University's development program strong emphasis is being laid on research with a clear position of Faculty of Textile Technology in integrated University. My vision of TTF's dean task is directing TTF's activities toward high level of educational, scientific-research or art-research as well as technical standards and enabling the institutional framework needed, taking into account the circumstances in which the Faculty operates.
Institutional framework means taking care of continuous growth of human resources and effective organisation of all Faculty Offices within the University. Only a coordinated, thought out and integrated development of all the resources can ensure quality of the study program as well as scientific-research work and art-research work of University of Zagreb and Faculty of Textile Technology.
My aim is to keep the leading position in the textile area within the region and continue to extend the cooperation with Institutions with similar art and scientific background or from business sector. Partnership with associates which TTF has not only within European research and education area, but all over the world (like USA, Korea, China, Pakistan) - can actively contribute to internationalisation and achievements of University of Zagreb.
