Subject content Development process and origin of intelligent textile. Division of intelligent textile. Passive, active and high intelligente textile. Areas of application and characteristics of materials for individual applications. Integrating elements, sensors, processors, actuators, power feed, communications elements. Textile characteristics and textile structure of intelligent textile. Electric conductivity of thread, wiring, materials applied. Integration and interconnection of elements. Presentation of the latest achievments in the investigation and development of intelligent textile.
Aim of course Recognition of intelligent textile, knowledge of areas of application, familiarizing with special materials. Individual work, determination of executional characteristics, verification of functionality, processing of results, encouragement to conceptual development of new kinds of intelligent textile in structural and functinoal terms. Development of skills to seek and use available literature, search for information by Internet, databases and other information, presentation of results before the audience via computer programs intended for presentations.
