Subject content Ecological aspects of cultivation and production of natural and man-made fibres. Environmental impact of the mechanical processing of textiles - problems of noise, dust, emission of harmful substances. Ecological properties of dyes, chemicals and auxiliaries, harmful substances; environmental impact of processes of dyeing, printing and textile care. Development of environmentally friendly processes. Waste waters of the textile industry. Disposal of waste waters, recycling of chemicals and waste textiles, preservation of resources and energy consumption - imperative of sustainable development.
Aim of course Knowledge of possible environmental impact of the textile production processes and textile finishing. Comprehension of the environmental protection need and development of ecologically friendly processes and technologies to obtaining of ""healthy"" textile products.
