Subject content A historical overview of development and changes in textile and clothing since prehistory till this day. Distinction: clothing – fashion. Perceiving the rhythms of change and identifying their basic drivers, as well as stylistic markers for textile and clothing creations. Connecting the phenomenon of clothing and fashion with current social and artistic activities
Aim of course Developing abilities for active perception of clothing, identifying its basic visual characteristics and recognizing the stylistic markers by which textile and clothing fit into the overall visual and social frame of a certain period. Recognizing the meaning of fashion and the dynamics of change in fashion as a powerful initiator of change in all fields of modern life. Setting criteria for critical evaluation of one’s own creations, as well as for evaluation of fashion events.
