Subject content Colour and dyestuff. Characteristics of technical dyestuff. Classification and nomenclature of dyestuff. Theory of dyeing basics (dyestuff - fibre bonds). Selection of dyestuff and dyeing processes for cellulose, protein and synthetic fibres. Mixture of fibres technological and economical asspects. Textile printing basics; preparation of textile supstrate, methods of printing, finishing. Production of printing screens and engraved rollers (classic, computer and laser method). Selection of dyestuff, thickeners and additives. Cellulose, protein and synthetic fibres printing. Pigment printing. Selection and binding means action mechanism. Pigment dyestuff. Jet printing.
Aim of course Knowledge of dyeing and textile printing in industrial design gives full creative freedom in textile finishing from garments to interiors.
