Subject content Contemporary sociological lifestyles theories (Cultural studies, theory of reflexive modernisation, system theory); Postindustrila society and cultural capital; Individualisation and pluralisation of society; The Identity and lifestyle; Class, gender, social position and lifestyles; Subcultures as the subject of individualisation; Leisure time and the processes of individualisation; Globalisation - homogenity and heterogenity of identitites; Symbols of urban culture; Postmodern culture and lifestyles; Tradition and modernity; Transnational flow of lifestyles; Media and alternative culture; Fashion and lifestyles; Symbolical capital, taste and consumer society.
Aim of course The course examines the knowledge about the process of individualisation and pluralisation in the contemporaray society. The differentiation of social structure and cultural diferrences characterise the projective identitites in the global world. The common competence arise from scientifically explorations the transformation modern in the postmodern social condition. The lifestyles theory and critical interrogations in the area of consumer society has to do the basic introduction in the cultural consideration of the entire complex of entertainment industry today. Students have opportunity to learn and develop creative and critically relationship to the society od spectacle, particularly in the area of fashion industry as the main contributor and sign of new consumerism.
