Subject content Colour of organic compnents. Influence of chemical structure on colour hue (influence of supstituent position on aromatic component spectra). Classification of dyestuff according to chemical structure and solubility. Structure of dyes and supstantivity. Pysical and chemical dyeing theory basics. Dyestuff - fibre chemical bonds. Influence of fibre structure on dyeing properties. Adsorption of dyestuff and dyebath equilibrium.Kinetics of dyeing. Aggregation of dyes in solution. Adsorption of dystuff on to the cellulose, protein and synthetic fibres. Adsorption of nonionogenic dispers dyestuff. Reactive dyestuff dyeing mechanism. Selection of technological processes. Ecology and toxicology of dyestuff.
Aim of course The course of Dyeing Theory gives a student, upon graduation, an oportunity of conducting independently any technological dyeing process. Obtained knowledge gives an oportunity of working in scientific exploration in areas of economy and ecology.
