Subject content Systematisation and nomenclature of high performance fibres. Fibres from new polymers, fibres as a product of physical and/or chemical intervention on conventional fibres, and inorganic fibres with high properties. Intelligent fibres. Principle of high performance fibre production. Supermolecular structure and its transformation. Fibre morphology, mechanical, thermal, optical, dielectric and engineering properties. Relation of fibres to moisture and water. Ageing and durability of fibres. Identification of high performance fibres. Production types and use.
Aim of course Overview at high performance fibres and vision of future development for technically high quality products for demanding purposes. Deepening of knowledge on nanometric, microfibrile and morphological structure enables understanding of interdependence of all fibre structure levels, fibre properties and application.
