Subject content Contemporary theories of culture and globalisation (postmarxism, deconstructionism, depedence theory, theory of racional choice, semiotics); Culture as communication; Communication and changes of the international order; Mass Communications and digital capitalism; Corporative Media and postmodern politics; Information society and communication; Media theories and culture of spectacle; International communication and new media; Ethnics conflicts and media messages; The economy of mass communications; Communications politics of EU; Contemporary journalism; Postcolonial approaches to networks of information; New information-communication technologies and cultural industry of fashion; New media and contemporary advertising.
Aim of course The course examines contemporary scientific enterprise from communication theories (media theory, mass communications, journalism, the strategy of implementation of new comminication politics) with particularly emphasize to analyse of culture as symbolic and communication matter of fact. Students have opportunities to learn and investigate whole complex of global communication system of the post-industrial age in which the information become the power, enterprise and value. They have possibilities to open the whole horizon of creative participation in the world of fashion journalism and redesign of lifestyles of consumers the communication network.
