Subject content Concept of the society of spectacle; Fashion and posmodern scene; Contemporary social theories about culture of spectacle; Relocations of the culture of globalisation; The end of modern/civil intimacy in the arts and architecture; Virtual reality and simulacra; Derealisation of reality; Sexuality as provocation and experiment; Cultural industry of spectacle; Celebrities and media heroes; Reality-show and democratisation of media; Aesthetisation of politics; Spectacularisation of entertainment; Advertising and media campagne; Fashion design and new age; Contemporary politics of identity (ferminism, postcolonial critique, transgender studies).
Aim of course The course is interdisciplinary approach to study of fashion system and examines appropriation the general and particular knowledge from theoretical perspective of culture of spectacle as specific culture of post-industrial society. Topics to be studiued theory includes very different humanistic and social sciences (cultural studies, anthropology, psychonalisis and sociology of fashion). The main goal is understanding the complex of intercultural and transcultural reality of the global age. The meaning of fashion phenomena in the area of public space from all over the world-in-cyber-space necessary call for understanding what is the crucial in the strategies of advertising, cultural branding and fashion styling public personalities in the plural society of different values.
