Subject content Historical development of technical textiles, contemporary division of technical textiles into sectors and subsectors, basic requirements that technical textiles have to fullfil divided into individual groups; technology and machinery for the production of technical textiles and significance of these materials in the textile industry. Yarn properties used for the production of technical textiles. Specific characteristics of the yarn preparation for weaving technical textiles. Construction of linear and surface textile materails for technical purposes, their analysis and fabric sample analysis by taking it apart. Types, role and characteristics of the machinery and auxiliary equipment. Time analysis, calculation of materials and production, selection and preparation of raw materials for the production of technical textiles, weave types and production of technical textiles, trends of technical textiles and new production systems.
Aim of course Knowledge of technology, principles and various methods for the production of technical textiles. Development of the capability of recognizing various production procedures, fields of application and their limitations. Training with different structures of technical textiles, their calculations and production preparation, acquisition of knowledge of the analysis of existing samples and determination of their characteristics. Study of available technical literature, information by means of electronic sources (Internet, bases of scientific and other data), presentation of results via computer programs.
