Subject content Contemporary anthropological understanding of culture; Cultural Anthropology and Cultural Studies; Epistemology and ethnographical methods; New paradigms; Hybridisation of cultures; Cross-Over processing and transnational identities; Cultural Translation; Flows between cultures; Interculturalism, multiculturalism and dialogues between cultures; Different worldviews and founding the anthropology; The concepts of difference and construction of social reality; Cultural Studies - discourse of power and state of europocentrism; Fashion as complex process in the creation of new identities.
Aim of course Introduction to scientifically discourse of cultural anthropology as new social science interdisciplinary character has to be a theoretical approach to understanding contemporary phenomena of culture, identity and social structures. The crucial point is to develop mutual understanding between students and lecturers in analysing the key problems of cultural anthropology and cultural studies today.
