Call for enrolment of students for the academic year 2025/2026 Doctoral programme in Textile Science and Technology

The doctoral study programme in Textile Science and Technology is open to applicants who have completed undergraduate or postgraduate studies at the Faculty of Textile Technology, University of Zagreb, with an average grade of at least 3.51. Admission with a lower grade point average is possible with recommendations from two professors of the Faculty.

Applicants who have completed related undergraduate or postgraduate university studies in the Republic of Croatia or abroad may apply for admission to doctoral studies in accordance with the Statute of the University of Zagreb and the admission requirements of the Doctoral Study Programme in Textile Science and Technology.

The doctoral programme lasts six (6) semesters. The cost of the study programme for the academic year 2025/2026 is €1,200.00 (one thousand two hundred euros) per semester. Upon enrolment, an official document confirming the assumption of costs must be presented if these are covered by a company or institution.

• Completed application form (available on the website of the University of Zagreb Faculty of Textile Technology and at the Student Office)
• Notarized copy of the diploma
• Notarized transcript of grades (undergraduate and postgraduate studies)
• Proof of citizenship
• Copy of identity card or passport
• Birth certificate
• Certificate of name change (if different from the documents)
• Curriculum vitae (Europass format)
• Letter of motivation from the applicant
• Declaration on the method of payment of tuition fees (self-financing, institution, project)
• Certificate of English language proficiency (issued by a language school or university)
• Foreign applicants must submit a certificate of proficiency in Croatian or English
• Written agreement of at least one professor from the applicant's area of interest to act as a study advisor for the doctoral programme
• Two letters of recommendation from professors in the Faculty (for applicants with a grade point average of less than 3.51)

An interview with the applicant is a mandatory part of the admissions process. Applicants must be able to demonstrate sufficient English language skills to follow the lectures.
