U okviru projekta Internacionalizacija doktorskog studija Tekstilna znanost i tehnologija prof. dr. sc. Zbigniew Draczyński sa Politechnika Łódzka, iz Lódźa, Poljska, održati će predavanje pod naslovom Biopolymers synthesis, modification, processing and properties confirmation. Predavanje će se održati u četvrtak, 8.7.2021., u 15:00 sati. uživo u A 301 i preko MS Teams platforme.

Abstract: Biopolymers synthesis, modification, processing and properties confirmation

The lecture will cover selected issues related to the chemistry of biopolymers including their synthesis as well as their modifications. The green chemistry behind synthesis of biopolymers from eco-friendly resources will be shown. Polysaccharides like chitin with its derivatives and alginates will be presented in details.  Using biopolymers for forming materials with special functionality, it is very important to know their limitations. Therefore, the processing parameters, eg. solubility, thermal resistance, molecular weight will be discussed. Lecture will present selected techniques for biopolymer processing with its properties confirmation.

Prof. Zbigniew Draczyński zamjenik je voditelja Instituta za tekstilne materijale i polimerne kompozite na Lodz University of Technology (Instytut Materiałoznawstwa Tekstyliów i Kompozytów Polimerowych PŁ), Lodz, Poljska. Bavi se kemijskom modifikacijom prirodnih i sintetskih polimera namijenjenih za kompozite za medicinsku primjenu. Bavi se razvojem i proizvodnjom polimera koji se mogu koristiti za zaštitu okoliša. Znanstveni rad očituje se brojnim publikacijama i nagradama. Područje znanstveno-istraživačkog na projektima vezano je uz medicinski tekstil, posebice materijale za zacjeljivanje rana.
