Subject content History of textiles and garment care. International label codes in care according ISO and GINETEX. Soiling, resoiling and soil removal from different textiles. Behavior of textile fibres in care agents. Processes of washing, dry-cleaning and wet cleaning-agents, technology and environmental impact. Care of new textiles. Care of garment with different applications (leather, effective yarn....) Care of leather garment. Damages and complaints in care of textiles and garments. Laboratory exercises would include quick methods of materials and coloration properties with purpose of proper labeling and excluding of complaints in texcare. Visit to modern dry cleaning service with modern technology of spotting, cleaning and ironing.
Aim of course Basic concepts in care of textiles and garments would help for correct choice of basic material and the other fashionable accessories with intention to ensure good textile and garment quality, no damages and complaints during textile and garment care.
