Subject content Lectures: Lectures: Knowledge of types of clothing collection, seasonal and supplementary, division of the collection according to genres. Range of goods offered according to sex, application (leisure, sports and business wear, and formal dress). Collection making process consists of designing and making clothing collection. Exercises: Clothing making process starting from idea to project (longitudinal and transverse lines of the cut and folds, modelling of cuts (verification) on unbleached linen. Exercises are related to the course in terms of content. Computer clothing design I: modelling and making markers at the computer and computer-aided part cutting. Clothing design in the graphical workstation for textile and clothing design containint the installed software package PrimVision with the aim of making a clothing catalogue for the market.
Aim of course The student familiarizes himself/herself with the entire proces of designing and making a collection.The new line of the cut is tested by hand on the basis of a personal idea, a cut is modelled, it is verified on unbleached linen, then the cut is entered into the computer where it is modelled, a marker is made on the basis of which the material is cut, subsequently it is put together in the workshop into a model concieved by the designer and a prototype is created. Based on the tested lines of the cut the design is varied in the graphical workstation for textile and clothing design, and a market catalogue is made. By introducing interactive teaching a team work of designers and technologists is established what is important for the success of a good collection.
