Application:
The CAD system for computer 2D/3D clothing design by Optitex, is installed on computers in the e-learning classroom. The system software programs enable the complete development of clothing patterns within the construction preparation process, which includes the construction, modeling and grading of patterns in the Pattern Design Software program and the computer creation and fitting of cutting patterns in the Marker Making program. In addition, the system enables complex computer 2D/3D prototyping of clothing models, clothing 3D simulation process, computer analysis of design, pattern construction and evaluation of prototypes in static and dynamic conditions, depending on the physical and mechanical properties of the applied textile material. The system is also equipped with a software for 3D construction of clothing that fits tight to the body, such as sportswear, where it is necessary to achieve a high level of functionality, and a software for customization of clothing patterns according to individual measurements and body types used in combination with 3D body scanner .
Laboratory equipment is used for the needs of the teaching process at graduate levels and study programs conducted at the Faculty of Textile Technology, as well as during the preparation of graduate papers. Also, the equipment is occasionally used by foreign students, who come to the Faculty of Textile Technology as part of the Erasmus + exchange program.
The equipment is also used for the scientific research at the Department of Clothing Technology, doctoral students in the study program Textile Science and Technology, and represents the potential for cooperation with the economy sector.
