PUBLIC CALL FOR ADMISSION

to enrol students in the 2023/2024 academic year in the doctoral study programme

TEXTILE SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY
to obtain the academic PhD degree

Candidates who have completed university graduate study with a Grade point average (GPA) of 3.51 may apply to the doctoral study TEXTILE SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY. Candidates with lower grade point averages may be admitted with a letter of recommendation from two professors from the alma mater.

Candidates who have completed other related university graduate study in the Republic of Croatia, or university graduate study abroad, may enrol in the doctoral study in accordance with the Statute of the University of Zagreb and in accordance with the the Enrollment requirements of the doctoral study Textile Science and Technology.

The doctoral study lasts for six (6) semesters. The cost of the study programme in the academic year 2023/2024 is €929.06 (nine hundred twenty-nine euros and six cents) per semester. If the studies are financed by a company or institution, the candidate must provide proof that the costs have been covered.

Candidates must submit their applications and attachments:

• Prescribed application forms available on the website of the University of Zagreb Faculty of Textile Technology and the Student administration office;
• Copy of the diploma certified by the notary public;
• Transcript of records at all levels of higher education (both undergraduate and graduate study) including diploma supplement with GPA, also certified by the notary public;
• Copy of citizenship certificate;
• Copy of an identity card or passport;
• Extract from the register of births;
• Official notice from the competent authority for applicants who have changed their first and/or last name;
• CV (Europass);
• Letter of motivation;
• Declaration of the method of payment of tuition fees (independent, institution, project);
• certificate of proficiency in English (issued by a school of foreign languages);
• Letters of recommendation from two professors of the alma mater for applicants with a grade point average lower than 3.51.

An interview with the applicant is a mandatory part of the enrollment process.
