The main expected results of this project are:
- verified concept of innovative washing process, according to the assessment of MP shedding from fabrics and knits,
- the importance of chitosan-biopolymer textile structure on MP shedding,
- contributing to the development of methodology for evaluation of MP shedding,
- publications in international scientific journals, participation at international conferences, international cooperation, etc.,
- new knowledge acquired and knowledge transfer to young researchers, together with their involvement in the research of both national and international impact, through final theses, diploma thesis and other qualifying work,
- contribution to strengthening the capacities of the University of Zagreb Faculty of Textile Technology, as well as other project members of the University (Faculty of Food Technology and Biotechnology and School of Medicine), Croatian Institute of Public Health and foreign University of Maribor Faculty of Mechanical Engineering) in the field of key enabling technologies (KET).
