Learning outcomes

The students will be able to:
● Use different types of variables.
● Apply matrices, vectors, and cell arrays structures to solve problems.
● Define and apply operators and operations that can be performed on matrices, vectors, and cell arrays structures.
● Use different loops and decision commands.
● Define and apply different types of functions.
● Use various 2D and 3D graphs.
● Apply numerical integration, derivation, and symbolic calculation.
● Define and apply methods for data approximation.

Subject content

Introduction to Microsoft Visual Basic, introduction to forms, variables, and procedures, classes and objects, events, polymorphism, and inheritance, databases, user interface, advanced forms, and dialogs. Application of Visual Basic in the Office environment (example: Excel).

Aim of course

Understanding general programming concepts, understanding data types, and program structures, understanding the process of creating programs.
