Lectures: Knowledge of the plastic anatomy of human body to design clothes; human figure shall be drawn based on anthropological measurements, extended, legible in construction and tehnological terms and appealing to the eye of the observer. Exercises: drawing grids for extended male and female figure. Special rules for drawing the child's body and fashionable figure: the child's body is drawn in relation to growth and development as it constantly changes, grows and reaches maturity in all functions. The child has specific body proportions depending on age. To design clothing, it is necessary to select four basic stages of growth and development of the child showing the most conspicuous differences of the body proportions, namely: newborn and baby, two-year child, six-year child, twelve-year child.

Aim of course

The student is qualified for accurate drawing and understanding of the human body and fashion figure in order to design clothes as easy as possible. The purpose of clothing design is to make a drawing containing various processes: graphical illustration and steps, details and integrity, unity of artistic elements of the garment, 3-dimensionality of human body in space and clothing. The children's wear depends on specific rules: garment cut shall be dependant on age and harmonized with requirements of game movements. It must be simple, must not hamper movements, clothing must be live and fanciful what is achieved by the selection of colours, fabrics, designs and characters form popular children's broadcasts and cartoons.
