Subject content

Standards (ISO and EN). Anthropometric characteristics and anatomy. Construction of men's wear (shirt, trousers, jacket, shortening and lengthening of garment, cutting patterns, raglan and kimono coat). Characteristics of computer systems used in clothing industry (characteristics of CAD/CAM systems). Preparation of cutting parts for digitizing. Construction of ladieswear (skirt, blouse, dress, jacket, trousers, raglan and kimono coats, lengthening and shortening of garment). Construction of children's wear, sportswear, men's and women's underwear.

Aim of course

Familiarization with the characteristics of construction preparation. Significance of the application of adequate standards. Familiarization with comparative computer application and contemporary computer sysstems in clothing industry. Directives based on experience in the implementation of anthropometric measurements of the population. Methods of determining bodily measures and its use in clothing construction. Competences and complete knowledge of the construction of men's, ladies' and children's wear. Trends in clothing construction.
