Subject content

Historical development of sewing technology. Standardization of sewing stitches. Classification of classes and kinds of sewing stitches. Standardization of sewn seams. Sewing thread. Sewing needles. Division of sewing machines. Electric drive motors. Help devices for forming seams on sewing machines. Process microcomputers on sewing machines. Universal sewing machines. Special sewing m achines. Sewing automata. Sewing functional units. Numerically controlled sewing machines. Sweing robots. Intelligent sewing machines. Intermediate pressing in the process of garment sewing. Specifities of the process of sewing knitwear.

Aim of course

The course enables the students to master technological characteristics and all types of sewing machinery in the technological processes of garment sewing.
