Subject content

Textile as a functional aesthetic and social phenomena. The visual characteristics of textile according to function, material, the technique of creating, visual characteristics of textile patterns. The artistic creative practice develop artistic skills, the sense for artistic values, the sense for dependence of artistic expression on technique and materials.This is a progressive research and expressing of a personal artistic identity.

Aim of course

During the lectures the student develops his sense about textile as a subject, textile as an artistic phenomena, the structure of artistic work, about his personal identity by chosing the artistic values.

Literature necessary for course

Different books about artistic work, history of art, history of textile and clothing, folclore, nature, design.

Supplement literature

Visiting fashion shows, exhibitions, museums, textile and clothing industry.
