Laboratory with standard atmosphere for testing of physical-mechanical textile properties

It is intended for a wide range of physical and mechanical testing of textiles and related materials in accordance with national, international and European standards and procedures.

The laboratory is equipped with air-conditioner that provides stable Standard Atmosphere for Testing: HR = 65 ± 4%, T = 20 ± 2 °C, as well as with modern laboratory equipments with the possibilities of testing the mechanical properties of textiles in a wide range of load cells (from 20N to 30kN) using universal automatic Strength Tester TensoLab 3000 (MESDAN Lab)  and usage properties by testing of resistance to wear (abrasion) and peeling in accordance with ISO standards (MARTINDALE, by MESDAN Lab).

The textile testing service in accordance with national and international standards has been made available to the textile industry including manufacturers, importers, exporters and retailers. As an accredited laboratory for textile testing has not yet been established on the Faculty of Textile Technology has initiated a procedure with the aim of establishing such a laboratory and obtaining a license, which would systematically provide textile testing services to interested manufacturers and the market. In this way, the competitiveness of domestic textile products on the European market would be improved in accordance with European Community standards.
