SUBJECT CONTENT
Fiber identification methods (conventional and non-conventional, their comparison and reliability). Microscopy (light, electron, nuclear). Types and specifics of application of various microscopes (TLM, RLM, IRM, PM, SEM, TEM, CLM, AFM). Microphotometry and micromorphometry using modern systems for digital analysis of microscopic images. Instrumental physico-chemical methods and their application in the identification of fiber structure and properties (NMR, FTIR, NIR, WAX, SAX, TGA, TMA, DTA, DSC, GC, TLC, HPLC, US, EF). During laboratory exercises through individual experimental work, the acquired theoretical knowledge is applied for the identification of fibers.
AIM OF COURSE
Through the aquired theoretical and practical knowledge, students are capable of independently and reliably identifying individual fibers.
