Subject content

Types of knitted structures. Weft and warp knit structures. Single jersey, double jersey and interlock structures. Characteristics, properties, and applications of various structures of weft knits. Analysis of knitted structures. Computer-aided design and shaping of the structure of different weft knits. Physical-mechanical properties of knitted fabrics. Comfort of knitted fabrics. Changes in the properties of knitted fabrics due to aging.

Aim of course

Based on the acquiered knowledge a student is able to design and produce weft and warp knitwear independently.
