Subject content
Knitwear. Knitwear fabrics. Warp knitwar. Weft knitwear. Single jersey, double jersey, interlock knittwear. Projecting and analysis of warp and weft knitwear. Computer engineering and design of warp and weft knitwear. Basic warp knitwear, double, velour, plush, picque, ribbed, regulat two-colour three-colour tuck knit, double regular tuck weft knit. Application of knitwear for upper clothing articles, underwear, sportwear, children cloths, stockings. Analysis of the structure and properties of the weft and warp knitted fabrics. Comparison of the main characteristics of basic and derivate stitches.
Aim of course
Based on the acquiered knowledge a student is able to design and produce weft and warp knitwear independently.
