Subject content
Fibres for yarn production. Routes of spun yarns production from natural and/or man-made fibres. Ring, rotor and aerodynamic spinning. Yarn winding and cleaning. Plying. Yarn finishing. Basic constructional parameters of single, plyed and cabled yarns. Yarn structures and properties. Yarn quality parameters.
Aim of course
The aim of the course is to transfer the knowledge related to basic routes of spun yarn production from cotton, wool, man-made staple fibres, as well as their blands. The student is familiarized with basic finishing treatments of yarn as well as with technogical parameters providing the production of high-quality yarn.
