Subject content
Quality control of textiles and clothes. On-line and off-line control. Textile testing – samples, requests on sample for testing and sampling), reliability and repeatability of measuring results, statistical validation. Standard atmospheres for conditioning and testing. Testing fundamental dimensional and morphological characteristics of fibers, yarns and textile fabrics (woven, knitted and nonwoven) – length, fineness, maturity, number and intensity of curles of fibers; fineness, twist in yarns, unevenness, friction characteristic, designation of yarns. Testing of mechanical properties – tensile properties, tensile strength and elongation, tear resistance, determination of stiffness, torsional resistance, bursting strength, abrasion resistance.
Aim of course
Mastering with methodology and techniques of testing physical and mechanical properties of fibers, yarns and textile materials, relevantly for their modification and ending usage. Being qualified for control textile – mechanical processes and laboratory testing of physical properties.
