Subject content
General terms and principles of knitting technology, Comparison of weft and warp knitting, Production of weft structures on flat and circular machines. The manufacture of hosiery on small diametar circular machines. Pattern and selection devices. Specialty fabrics and machines. Yarn feeding and take down mechanism. Whole garment manufacturing. Warp knitting machinery.Plain tricot structures knitted with two full set guide bars. Multi-guide bar machines and fabrics. Double needle bar warp knitting machines. Pattern mechanism on warp knitting machines. Warp Let-Off. Patterned structures on weft and warp knitting machines.
Aim of course
Students will get basic and advanced knowledge in the field of knitting technology. They learn the production and processes for transformation different sorts of yarns into knitted structures. Whole knowledge getting during the lectures and practises will be a good base for being employee in a knitting plant.
