Subject content

The course "Weaving" is designed to provide a comprehensive understanding of modern weaving technologies and the engineering principles behind woven fabric production. It covers the technologies of various weaving machines and explores the mechanisms of weft insertion, fabric construction, and the latest innovations in weaving technology.
Students will become familiar with the principles of woven geometry, studying the relationship between process parameters and the structural characteristics of woven fabrics. The course also introduces the practical aspects of fabric development and production using a laboratory weaving machine.
In addition to weaving techniques, the course covers yarn preparation for weaving, analyzing factors such as tension control and measurement, winding speed, and more.
Through this course, students will gain the technical skills and knowledge required for successful work in fabric production, with a focus on modern weaving technologies.

Aim of course

Acquisition of knowledge of theoretical fundamentals of interlacing points. Knowledge of the division and development of weaving process. Familiarization with individual parts of the loom and their synchronization in weaving. Knowledge of constructive fabric parameters and their regulation on the loom. Familiarization with fault causes in the fabric, their removal on the machine and after weaving, consequences and fault classification.
