Subject content
Division and count system of yarn. Fibres for yarn production. Routes of yarn production. Parameters of yarn structure design o f spun yarns, twisted yarns, cabled yarns and filaments. Yarn twist. Structure and properties of ring-spun, rotor-spun, covered, aerodynamic and friction yarns. Fancy yarns. Yarns with new properties. Parameters of yarn quality.
Aim of course
The aim of the course is to familiarize students with basic routes of yarn production from cotton, wool, staple man-made fibres and blends of natural and man-made fibres. Basic finishing treatments of yarn as well as technological parameters providing the production of high-quality yarns for weaving, knitting and other applications.
