The Critical Point Dryer K850 instrument is used to prepare samples before examination on an electron microscope. It is most often used for controlled dehydration of biological samples, and is also used for drying MEMS, various wafers, hydrogels or aerogels. The device can precisely control the temperature within the system using controlled adiabatic cooling and thermoelectric heating
