Upon successfully completing this course, the student will be able to:
• interpret a mathematical proof
• apply proof methods and prove analogous statements
• connect different concepts and results and apply them
• demonstrate calculation skills and use mathematical procedures and
algorithms
• analyze and solve mathematical problems related to the acquired mathematical
concepts and model situations outside the mathematical context
• apply the basics of linear algebra, differential, and integral calculus of real
functions of a single variable
Subject content
Sets of numbers. Elements of linear algebra. Sequences. Functions. Limits and continuity. Derivatives
and applications. Indefinite and definite itegrals and applications.
Aim of course
Students will acquire basic knowledge of linear algebra, functions of a single variable, differential and integral calculus of real functions of a single variable, and their applications.
