Classical mechanics. Newton's laws of motion. Work, strength, energy. Conservation laws. Particle and solid state dynamics. Mechanical and physical properties of substances. Fluid mechanics. Sound and ultrasound, applications. Thermal properties of substances. Laws of thermodynamics. Thermal processes. Transport processes. Molecular kinetic theory of matter. Electrical and magnetic properties of matter. Basic principles of electromagnetism. Electricity and circuits. Preservation of charge and energy in a circuit. Power grids. The principle of operation of electrical machines. Optical properties of substances. Fundamentals of wave and geometric optics. Laws of reflection, refraction and transmission of light. Optical lenses.
AIM OF COURSE
The program of the course "Physics I" allows students to get acquainted with the established classical mechanics, fluid mechanics, thermodynamics and electricity.
