Subject content
Routes of yarn spinning from natural fibres and/or man-made staple fibres. Ring, rotor and aerodynamic spinning. Winding and twisting. Warping and sizing. Division and basic properties of weaving machines based on shed formation and inserters. Fabric structures and properties according to application. Development and specificties of the machinery for fabric manufacturing. Processes of manufacturing knitted fabrics. Basic elements of the knitting machinery. Warp knitting machines. Loop sinking machines. Yarns, machinery, automata and knitted fabrics for various applicaitons. Quality parameters of yarn, woven and knitted fabrics.
Aim of course
The aim of the course is to study basic technologies of manufacturing yarns, woven and knitted fabrics and to know control and regulating mechanisms in manufacturing the aforementioned products.
