The main compounds of inorganic chemical industry. General ecology: ozone, acid rains, greenhouse effect, heavy metals.

Aim of course

This course is the continuation of mandatory course ""General Chemistry"". It contains inorganic chemistry topics which are not incorporated in ""General Chemistry"" course, but they are of importance for textile materilas study and polymers study. This course is based on solid state features, intermolecularinteractions and their impact on characteristics and structure of compounds. Selected topics in the area of carbon and silicon inorganic chemistry are chosen due to the huge importance of carbon fibers and other inorganic polymers in textile industry nowadays. Coordination compounds and their importance in colour and pigment industry are also the subject of the course. The general ecology selected topics and the chemistry of atmosphere give the chemical bases in air, soil and water polution.
