Subject content

Finishing of cellulose materials: Wet finishing - Hand building finishes, Easy care finishes, Repellent finishes, Flame retardant finishines, Antimicrobial finishes and dry finishing. Finishing of wool and silk: Wet and Dry finishing. Finishing od synthetics: Antistatic finishes, Anti-pilling finishes, Thermal treatments. Laboratory practice: Personal instruction in techniques and processes involved in textile finishing.

Aim of course

Basic knowledge that students have already accepted during the coarse ""Textile Finishing Processes"" is additionally supplemented with knowledge of measure techniques and testing methods involved in textile finishing, as well as competence for appropriate usage of laboratory apparatus and devices. Students are gaining competence for individual laboratory work and control of textile finishing processes.
