Subject content
Definitions and different components of comfort: the physiological one, the physical-chemical one and the psychological aspect. The human/clothing system - physical processes in clothing and surrounding environment, physiological process in human body, neurophysiological processes by which sensory signals are formulated.Significance of the microclimate characteristics arised between skin and clothing. Important factors and elements: moisture and water sorption and transfer, water vapour and air permeability, thermal conductivity and dynamic heat, skin contact characteristics, static electricity, fibre and fabric handle. New comfortable fibres and textile structures, multifunctionale materials. Predictability of clothing comfort performance.Textile comfort test methods and assessing (Human Perception Analysis, HPA).
Aim of course
Scientific knowledge of comfort phenomenon and comfort mechanism, theirs factors and elements. Knovledge of contemporary trends in developing test methods and evaluation possibility of complex and not easily measurable textile performances, as a clothing comfort.
