Subject content
The parameters of thermal insulation properties of clothing. Measurement methods and standards for determining the thermal properties of intelligent, protective and conventional clothing. Measurement of thermal insulation and thermal resistance of textile materials, composites and clothing. Objective measurements and subjective reviews of ease of wearing apparel. Thermal properties of joins on clothing made sewing technique, thermal joining by using conduction and convection, the high-frequency and ultrasonic technique. The impact of construction properties of clothing to thermal insulation properties of clothing. Measurement of thermal contact resistance of textile and composite to determine data for the engineering design of clothing. Measurement of conduction-convection properties the materials incorporated in clothing using hot plate. View features and development of thermal manikin for research thermal insulation properties of clothing. Measurement of thermal resistance intelligent, protective and conventional clothing using the patented measuring system for determining static and dynamic thermal properties of composites and clothing (so-called thermal manikin) and specialized software. Measuring method for the determination of the base core body temperature method, four, eight and fourteen thermometers, measuring temperature gradients layers of clothing, the relative humidity inside the microclimate areas in the clothing and the heart rate wearer and comparison with standardized subjective evaluations. Smart and intelligent clothing with thermal protection properties of too low or too high ambient temperature.
Aim of course
The aim of the course is that the students acquire basic knowledge of thermoinsulation properties of clothing and adopt and understand the most relevant scientific and technical terminology in the mentioned areas, to acquaint students with modern measuring methods and standards for determining the thermal properties of clothing, and the impact of construction properties of clothing to thermal insulation properties of intelligent, protective and conventional clothing.
