Subject content

Definition of anthropometrics and applied antrhopometrics. Body measurements. Anthropometric tools. 3D body scanner. Sampling. Historical development of anthropometric tools and clothing sizing. Standardization of the clothing sizing system. Definition of figure types. Interrelationships of body parts. Selection of basic body dimensions. Intervals of clothing sizes. Methodology and statistical analysis of subjects in processing anthropometric measurements.

Aim of course

Basic principles, terms and definitions related to anthropometrics. Procedures of accurate measurement of human body. Systematic approach and selection of a representative sample of populaiton. Statistical methods. Systems for determining garment sizes. Methods of measuring male and female body. Standardization of the system for determining garment sizes.
