Subject content

Warp and weft knitted fabric geometry. Effect of process of knitting on parameters of the knitted fabrics. Influences of knitting and knitted fabrics structure on the relaxation, shrinkage and dimensional stability of knitted fabrics. Influences of knitting process and knitted fabrics structure on the uniaxial and multiaxial extension of knitted fabrics, tensile strength, tear, anisotropy of knitted fabrics.

Aim of course

The purpose of the course is to give students a basic framework of research in knitting and thus enhance the practical application of scientific research in manufacturing.
